At Artisan & Post, we are known for our commitment to making high-quality, hand-crafted furniture that exclusively features the 3 great American hardwoods; Solid White Oak, Solid Maple or Solid Cherry. Each piece is meticulously crafted by skilled artisans using wood working techniques handed down through generations of woodworking experience. Since 1919, our company has been manufacturing quality wooden bedroom furniture in our own Galax, VA factory by 500 skilled Craftsmen and Craftswomen. The Custom Express Collection is produced from American Solid White Oak. This is a custom collection that offers 3 awesome beds (King and Queen), 5 terrific finishes as well as 6 fabulous fabrics. Our products are the perfect blend of function and fashion and incorporate high-value and high-quality details that include: English Dovetail drawer construction; smooth running dual ball bearing, whisper soft close drawer guides; Mortise and Tenon construction for strength and stability; ultra-smooth acrylic finish on interior drawer sides and drawer bottoms. Vaughan Bassett replaces every tree used to produce its furniture through an innovative program developed with the Virginia Department of Forestry. Over the last 15 or so years, Vaughan Bassett has planted 5 million trees. All items are produced and stocked for immediate shipping from Galax, VA and Elkin, NC.
